It's been a busy month....

I haven't been blogging for awhile! We've had a rather busy month since Easton's birthday. We had his big birthday party the next weekend, Dan's been in the playoffs with his baseball team, my friend was sick in the hospital, and I had my cancer treatment. So... not a whole lot of time to blog!

My first catch-up blog will have to be about my kiddo of course! He's getting SO big. He had his one-year appt and he's growing and developing perfectly. He's in the 90, 92, and 95th percentiles in height/weight/head size. We have a couple follow-up appts to schedule with various specialists because of his prematurity, but nothing alarming - more just precautionary to make sure his parts developed properly the last year.

My friend Wendy got him a little fire truck thing that plays funny music. Dan and I started doing a goofy dance to the music and finally Easton figured out that he could do it to. I got him on video doing his one-year-old version of our goofy dance. It's just about the cutest thing I've ever seen!

The older kids had a great time playing on the property. They made these "awesome" forts for the war they were fighting, which they pretended was Germany versus Hawaii. Not sure why Germany and Hawaii, but hey! It kept them happy, which kept the adults happy!




We met up with a couple girlfriends from high school at Tolmie State Park. I quickly realized that a one-year-old at the beach is not exactly fun... he wanted to eat EVERYTHING. So he spent most of the time in his stroller. He actually enjoyed himself despite the look on his face.


First birthdays also come with flipping the rear-facing car seat forward. At first he didn't really know what we were trying to do to him, but he finally figured out that it's pretty cool to face us. Except now he won't nap in his carseat - he's too busy looking around!
